People in general have become very impatient and short-tempered haven't we?
Decades ago waiting a month or two for a letter was normal, even romantic. Now, if I don't reply an SMS immediately the other party might think I'm irritated at her or something and read too much into it. Sometimes I just didn't feel like replying immediately, that's all. Nothing personal. Perhaps you asked about homework and I just didn't want to think about the mountains of work I chose to neglect.
Plus, people are getting more and more aggressive. I see heated arguments on online platforms such as YouTube and Twitter and Facebook all the time. Can't these people just hold their fingers and not upload offensive comments seriously?
Curse words, f-bombs, poor grammar, all over the page. It gets annoying real quick.
Take Justin Bieber and Twilight for example. For every single music video I watch, someone will try to bash JB in the comments. WHY? To get more likes? Not like it's working.
People are quite passionate regarding Twilight too. I really don't see why we can't just take a neutral stand.
Once in a while someone will ask me if I like Justin Bieber. I always respond "OK lah.." and the person will immediately assume I really hate his music. This happens with Twilight too (and Friday, but for Friday it's true so...).
When I say "OK lah" I actually mean "OK lah". I think Baby had a catchy tune although the mv was kinda ridiculous. I do have his songs in my phone though I seldom listen to them.
I was thinking about the topic of "extremists" because I realise that my two major (used to be, but now only has one major group) groups of friends are extremes culinarily. One group cooks all the time and like to bake. The other doesn't know how to properly crack an egg.
The most ridiculous kitchen fail I ever heard if when one of my classmates told me she put an egg into the microwave, shell intact.
I thought that exploding eggs were general knowledge, but maybe not. XD
Ok off to conquer the mountain I have neglected!
