As you know (you should) by now, I am in the Guitar Ensemble as my CCA.
For those of you who play the guitar, you know that strumming and/or plucking at the strings, especially after a long period of time, hurts.
This is why the 'pick' was invented.
However, it is quite inappropriate to use picks because we kept stopping, so just using your nails would be the better alternative.
Which leads up to my problem.
I WANNA CUT MY NAILS SO BAD.
I hate long nails. They feel disgusting. Like claws. They look disgusting too. Also, they're dangerous.
Ladies, if you think that long nails are attractive, think again. I think that long nails look like claws.
The kind that witches are stereotyped to have.
But yet I can't cut them. SIGHHHHH.
Alright bye bye I have to do my economics homework.. T_T

The Hunger Games
Note: contains spoilers
Yes I went to watch the hunger games!! :DD
And also yes, I was one of those hyped-up ones abt the movie, but only because the trailers were pure AWESOMENESS.
So I went to watch HG on sat with Donkey. :)
Ruru was supposed to come but ten she couldn't make it.. Ruruuuuuuuuu.
Sad to say, I was very disappointed in the movie.
Don't worry, the movie's still good, but it just wasn't as good as I was expecting. T_T
Intro:
You know the part in the trailer where Katniss volunteers as tribute in place of her sister Primrose?
Well the trailer made that scene look epic but in actual fact the whole thing happened very monotonously. I wasn't THAT moved by the scene.
But other than that, I think the pace of the intro was quite acceptable. It have you questions but those qns were answered later.
Middle:
Interesting, yes, but I think they focused to much on the 'fight to the death' part rather than the character development or relationship development.
The movie felt like only Katniss and Peeta's personalities were exposed you know. And even then, Katniss has this poker face most of the time so she felt like a really boring person..
But of course she's not as bad as Bella LOL.
The movie was so much bloodier than I expected it to be, mainly because these kind of teen(?) movies usually don't require blood.
And it was so sad. ):
Especially the part when Rue died.. I cried in the cinema. D':
There was this part where a part dog part cheeta monster suddenly lunged out at Peeta and Katniss.
The woman sitting beside me and Donkey SCREAMED, causing the two of us to JUMP. LOL.
And me, thinking that it was Donkey who screamed, hit her. XD
Poor donkey.
Throughout the games part Katniss and Peeta got quite seriously injured and they needed to treat the wounds right?
Well the director just HAD to close up on those scenes and they were so.. Ughhhh. >_<
I think me and Donkey were the only two who were chilled by those scenes. I even covered my eyes haha~
Ending:
The ending is so not complete. D<
Thats's really all I have to say about the ending.
Romance:
The movie showed how Peeta fell for Katniss before the Hunger Games, and then during the games Katniss seemingly reciprocated those feelings.
(They kissed and cuddled and did mushy couple stuff.. At least as mushy as Katniss could be.)
HOWEVER!
It really felt like Katniss only pretended to like Peeta back to save his butt.
When Peeta was in danger due to his leg wound, Katniss kissed him and that movement initiated their whole relationship..
But I personally think that she kissed him to suck up to the sponsors so that they would send medicine.
And surprise surprise! They did send something, only that something wasn't medicine, it was soup.
And then after the games ended, it's like Katniss only kept up the act to save both their butts.
Because at the end when they suddenly announced that the rule of two winners was redundant, Katniss actually proposed that both her and Peeta die together. DEATH BY BERRIES.
And that was an act of defiance to the Capitol. It made the Capitol very displeased and so their mentor suggested that Katniss continue with the love facade as and excuse for her actions.. That she 'could not imagine life without him', so she'd rather die.
Mushy, huh.
So my evaluation of the story:
Good, yes, but I was expecting so much more. ):
More character development (introduce the others characters more in-depth), more relationship development, and less open-endings.
I hate those.
I do know that there are 3 books in the Hunger Games, so an open ending was quite inevitable.. But I still hate it nevertheless. Sighhh...
Gonna have to read the book then watch again. Who knows how long later that'll be.

Those Few Grains Of Rice
The title sounds nice right? Like some sappy, family love story. ^^
Unfortunately, this post is anything but sappy.
I really don't understand why some people like to leave those few grains of rice on their plate. Why not just eat them? Why? It is such a simple task of merely moving the spoon then bringing the spoon to your mouth. And it reduces wasted food by so much!
Yes, I am one of those whose plate is most of the time sparkling clean because I do not believe in waste, not when one-seventh of the people in the world are starving. And that's out of the total 7 billion people this world has. One-seventh. One billion people. THAT IS A LOT.
Keep in mind that most of these 1 billion are children and babies in developing countries.
So, my question to you is, "why?"
Why leave those precious grains of life on your plate?
Why let the 1 billion starve?
Do not, ever, leave food on your plate, please. If you know you can't finish your food, ask the vendor to give you less. Do not take more than you can handle ok? It hurts babies and children. One billion of them.
Do you know that currently the world is able to provide enough food for 11 billion people?
There are 7 billion people on the earth, but yet 1 billion of them are starving.
What happened to those supposed 5 billion-people worth of food?
Simple. Wasted. Thrown. Gluttony.
Imagine if all 6 billion fed (and not all well fed either) each left a few grains of rice on their plates. The total amount of food wasted when accumulated is astonishing.
That waste can feed that 1 billion. It can save the children and babies from starving.
So, bottom line, please, PLEASE don't waste food.
For those who still don't care: I hope you're happy, you baby killer.

Yes, it is currently 6.17am, and no, I haven't slept a single wink. @_@
Why? Well it's because I'm such a good girl that I am doing my homework! OMGGG MY BRAIN IS DYING. Like literally dying. My brain hurts. T_T
Piggy is currrently beside me playing her phone RPG game lol~
She stayed over tonight (last?) and we did hw all the way YEAHHHHHH WE ROCKKKKK.
Spent majority of the time doing the BLASTED CHEMISTRY which I will always and forever continue to hate. CURSE YOU.
As you can probably tell by now, I'm not exactly in the right state of mind. Maybe it has something to do with the lack of sleep, or maybe it's because of too much chemistry... I think it's the latter. :/
ANYWAYYYY, I was bored, piggy is in the toilet, and my laptop is on and available so.. Here I am. :)

La Grippe
Which is French for "the flu". Lol. "The Flu" seemed kinda plain, so I spiced it up with another language. ^^
Anyway, my school has recently come down with the flu. A lot of us are sick. In the lecture theatres, you can hear coughing and sneezing everywhere haha~
And yes, I got it too. And a mild fever. Hmph. =_=
So today me, piggy, and yj were supposed to go Bugis to shop for Squeak's present, but then, dun dun dun dun!!
Piggy had a fever of 38.1 degrees. I have no idea how anyone can burn that high.
I think her brain's crisp by now... :/
And so the shopping trip was cancelled.. And dear old squeak has to go to camp without her Tonari no Tonoto stuffed toy. HAHAHA~

Back to piggy. She went bonkers just within the hour of burning up.. At least I think it's an hour.. Maybe?
She kept spamming nonsensical, no brainer stuff. =_=
This morning, I forgot to bring my phone to school. AGAIN. And again. I almost DIED without music on the bus ya know??
Haha ok drama queen here~
Annyway, piggy spammed my phone in the morning too. She spammed every single emoticon that's available in phones. Smartphones.
And, as most of you will know, smartphones have A LOT of emoticons. So guess how many she spammed?
24 messages.
Which isn't really a lot, but she wans't the only one messaging me. I had like 31 messages popping up all at the same time, with around 10 notifications when I finally got my phone.
Not a pretty sight, I must say.
Makes you feel stressed if your phone is completely LAYERED with things you have to take notice of...
Well I don't really have much to say... Oh yeah. I'm going ice-skating tmr! Class outing! :D
Hopefully my slight fever (and flu) will be gone by tomorrow or else I am definitely not going. Hahaha~

Things That GRATE On My Nerves
You know those small, unconscious (or not) actions of those around that just PISSES you off for no good reason?
Yeah well recently I've just discovered two things that I absolutely cannot stand. Just the mere mention of it and angry signs start popping on my head.
Number One:
Constant "shh"-ing. I really can't stand it. Once, alright fine. I get your message. Twice, still fine, but I'm starting to get annoyed.
How about one "shh, shh, shh" EVERY TEN FREAKING SECONDS FOR 50 MINS HUH?!?!?

The honor of discovering this little nerve of mine goes to my dear maths lecturer, who should be feeling extremely relieved that I know not her name. Or else she'd have been struck by lightning close to 60 times.
I have no idea why I get so annoyed by this, but I just do.
The evidence is right in my maths lecture notes where INDENTIONS of $&@#% are clearly visible. Along with numerous angry signs. ಠ_ಠ
D*mn you, whose name I do know want to know.
Number Two:
You know when people have PRIVATE conversations on LOUDSPEAKER?
Yeah that's number two. (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻
IT. IS. ANNOYING.
FACT.
This noble prize goes to my dearest mama who, for some weird reason, has fallen in love with the loudspeaker. She uses it every single freaking time she talks in the phone.
Already I'm not home most of the time, and yet I still think that she talks too much.
Well that's because my Dad's currently in Taiwan and she calls him every night.
Dude, I do not want to listen to my parents talking church stuff, or other people's problems on the phone! I hear enough in real life alright??
Already I know so much more than I should. But that'll be another complaint for another post.

Middle Of Nowhere
Haha just kidding. I wasn't lost in the middle of nowhere.. Just lost in the middle of Loyang. Haha. xD
So today I stayed in school to do project work from 12.05-5.20pm.. Nice huh. Anyway, the reason my group took so long is because we kept having a lot of interruptions and they kept drifting.. @#$*&#
I gave up at around 4.50pm lol. By then the proposal was almost finished. Was quite fun, laughed a lot, but only when I gave up on doing PW. =_=
My point being, today, I took bus 89.. My first time taking it. I have no direct bus to my school which totally sucks. So I have to either transfer buses or bus-MRT-bus. Sighh...
As I was saying, my mama told me that I could transfer buses with 89. Well apparently she omitted the part where I had to drop at the opposite bus stop. Hence, I had no idea where I was (because while the bus stop I have to drop at is at one end of the T-turn, the one I usually drop at is one the other end of the T-turn). So that is how, 15 mins later, I found myself in the middle of Loyang-nowhere.
There's like a SIA engineering centre there, factories.. You know, that kind of district. If I took the bus any longer I would've reached Changi prison. @_@
Well lucky for me, there was a direct bus home from that middle of nowhere.. And I waited 15 mins for the bus. It was just me alone.. With the birds and the passing cars.. So I plugged in my earphones and started to sing~
No birds came to me though.. )':
It was a rainy day and it was drizzling at that time so the weather was awesome.. And I was alone, with the birds and insects.. It was awesome. ;D
And then when the bus finally came.. Well I had to shut up.
Along the way, while still in that factory district, quite a few people boarded. One of them was a middle-aged man who sat in the seat in front of me. Why do I specifically remember him? That's because he smelled like cookies.
Yeah you heard me. A middle-aged MAN smelled like COOKIES. Chocolate chips at that.
And I remember thinking, "there is something freaking wrong when a man smells like cookies".
Of course, he could've just come from a cookie factory or smth, but I thought guys don't usually do that kind of work? (AKA baking.)
And believe me, he didn't dress like a chef. No, I'm not stupid. I don't mean the tall hat and apron. I mean he dressed like he was.. Well, a factory worker.
Haha ok enough about him. A new experience for me today.
First singing without the birds in the middle of nowhere and then meeting a man that smells like cookies. HAHAHA. xD
Btw, I reached home at 7pm. Go figure.
